Physical Culture Club
WHAT IS PHYSIE?
Physie (Physical Culture) is a sport for girls and women aged from 3 years old to 70+ and aims to build confident and empowered women with strength, fitness, good posture and flexibility. Our routines combine elements of many styles of dance including ballet, modern jazz, aerobics, gymnastics and contemporary. Our national body Bjelke Petersen School of Physical Culture, has been a proud uniquely Australian sport for over 125+ years.
Many of our community will agree that physie positively impacts all aspects of their lives, particularly their achievements at school and work. This is due to Physie's emphasis on self-motivation, teamwork and consistent learning. Additionally, being part of such a supportive community and building life-long friends helps to build confidence and empowers our girls to achieve anything.
Classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays across the school year and are an affordable dance option at $10 per lesson. During these classes we work towards the performance and competition opportunities that take place across the year. Whilst optional, these performances extend our girls and bring our club together, fostering a great sense of community and club spirit.
